The extradural venous system and dural sinuses around the clivus were examined using cadaver heads, especially from the viewpoint of the venous drainage pathway at the basilar plexus and microanatomy of the dural texture. Moreover, histological sections of the clivus were studied in order to disclose the dural architecture consisting of basilar plexus.
