Descriptions
Microscopic contour line method for determining the geometric surface area of soil particles derectly has been developed to reexamine air-permeability method. Although the process of this method is fairly complicated and tedious, when the projected area of soil particle is used for particle size index and the correlations between the index and such quantities as surface area, volume, and specific surface are utilized, the purpose above-mentioned will be accomplished.
