1.The duration of development from egg to pupa of P.fulgori was 42.5days at 20℃ and 16.0days at 32℃ and within these extremes at 24℃ and 28℃. The duration of development at 32℃ was about 1/3 of that at 20℃. No delay in the development of P.fulgori was observed at 32℃ as compared to the development at 28℃.
2. Developmental zero and the effective accumulative temperature in the period from the egg to the adult emergence of P.fulgori was 13.8℃ and 264.6 degree-days, respectively.
3. When P.fulgori parasitized S.furcifera, the duration of development from egg to pupa at 24℃ was 25.9days, almost the same as on L.striatellus(26.1days). This species laid eggs in nymphs of N.lugens, but these eggs did not grow.
