Description
The aim of this study was to find the factors related to the will of nurses in the late
career stages without job title to continue working. 224 nurses who were 40-60 years old and had no job title completed the questionnaires anonymously. “Work Values and Satisfactions of Nurses Measurement Scales” made by Nakayama was used to collect data. The result showed that about 80% nurses had the will to continue working. And nurses who had the will to continue working considered themselves healthier, had better awareness of management system, better awareness of relationship with co-workers, higher professional autonomy and more satisfaction in their work than those who didn’t.
The will of nurses in late career stages without job title to continue working was related to keeping themselves healthy, having good relationship with co-workers, being very well organized system for hospital management, and taking care of patients by their professional autonomy. So these factors should be facilitated to support them.
