Description
The purposes of this study were the examination and implementation of the contents of homecare support activities by constructing a support network for families and their children requiring medical care, and verifying the effect.
We used the method based on action research for the study, and subsequently analyzed the contents of how this method was put into practice concerning the work on the construction of the supporting network.
A review sessron resulted in the establishment of a "home of life support flow" and a "home life support file for supporters", and the basis of a supporting network by experts in each field was constructed by their utilization by home care supporters.
For the family, a consultation wmdow was elucrdated by a "home life support file for families" established as a result of the review session.
The family interchange society provided a place where children and families could enjoy themselves, because the effects of peer counseling from the interaction with other families were expected and parents were able to take care of the siblings.
Greater cooperation and collaboration among specialists may be necessary for practical individual support of children requiring medical attention and their families with regard to future activities.
