Description
大学において学生が英語学で論文を書くためには, 関心を持って言語現象を観察・分析し, そのような言語現象がいかなる規則に従って発現しているかという点について仮説を立て, 最終的に自らが立てた仮説を検証する能力が要求される. 本稿ではuntil 節に生起する動詞句を例として, 実際の言語現象に説明を与える過程を観察し, そこから振り返って英語学分野での論文指導, あるいは文法教育における望ましい姿について考察する。
