"Sueki" from some archeological kiln in Izumo district, Shimane prefecture, were studied from mineralogical point of view.
As the result of studies on minerals of Sueki, it is concluded that Sueki from each kiln can be distinguished from mineralogical characteristics and the host clayey materials of Suekihave been derived from clayey layer of adjacent area.
