溝上泰子(1903－1990) は, 困難な生活状況であっても少しでも人間的に生活しようとする人々と共に, ｢生活すること｣・｢生きること｣を学ぼうとし続け, 人類生活者を名乗った人物である｡本稿では, まず生活指導研究における溝上の生活論の可能性を提示した｡そして, 以後の研究の足掛かりとするため, 溝上の社会と個人の捉え方に着目して生活論の展開を整理した｡
