Cut flower production of iris was carried out in greenhouse with computer control system, which was set to give some environmental conditions in response to the plant growth.
Bulbs of iris were planted on September 17 in the greenhouse. The temperature and the soil moisture were controlled following the schedule showed in Fig. 2. The plants grew normally and most of flowers were cut for sale until November 11. Some of the flowers were stored in refrigerator for several days and sent to market till November 22. Thus, cut flower production of iris under computer control system were successfully conducted. |
