Description
The purpose of this research was to find out the acceptance of schizophrenia patient somatic complication treatment in order to obtain suggestions for nursing in which we urge active participation in schizophrenia patient somatic complication treatment. This study was on 3 schizophrenia patients who were in A general hospital holding ward for somatic complication treatment. We conducted semi-structured interviews with the schizophrenia patients and then conducted qualitative and inductive analysis. From our results, we extracted 9 categories which are; “intention of the somatic complication treatment which is aware of the abnormalities in the somatic”, “somatic complication treatment which is not known”, “somehow receive somatic complication treatment”, “resistance to the somatic complication treatment about suffering”, “discomfort which can not controlled by oneself ”, “toleration of somatic complication treatment”, “rely on antipsychotics”, “thankful to staff”, and “affirmative reception of somatic complication treatment”. Nurses should show respect for somatic complication intention that schizophrenia patients will receive somatic complication treatment. Moreover, while a nurse considers somatic complication treatment to relax
fraught suffering, and the psychoneurosis of schizophrenia and a prejudice of the peculiar, support that the feelings of a schizophrenia patient's restoration centering on a relationship with a health professional being obtained is called for.
