| Description | This article aims to clarify whether social capital has a positive effect on utilization of medical service among poverty stricken slum dwellers in Bangladesh. The statistical analysis, based on the household data obtained from intensive structured survey conducted by the International Food Policy Research Institute and CARE-Bangladesh, clearly suggests that the higher the social capital levels are, the more slum dwellers are likely to get needed medical attention.
