島根大学生物資源科学部附属演習林にある天然生二次林の植生

Here we describe the vegetation of semi-natural forest in our University Forest. Total species number was 67and they belong to 29 families and 54 genera. Most abundant species was Neolitsea sericea（Bl.）Koidzumi in Matsue Forest, Quercus serrata Murray in Sambe Forest and Fagus crenata Blume in Hikimi Forest. Species diversity was evaluated by H' and J'. H' and J' were 1.46 and 0.51 in Matsue, 2.60 and 0.67 in Sambe and 2.57 and 0.77 in Hikimi. As a whole, our forest were diverse. We need to maintain and conserve these diverse natural forest as well as conifer plantation.

　生産重視の森林管理から多面的な公益機能を発揮させるような森林管理へと，求められる森林の管理方法が近年変化してきた．このような流れのなか，天然生林の社会的価値が上昇してきている．森林資源さらに環境資源としての天然生林について，現存量，生産力，、構造などこれまでに多くの研究がなされてきた．調査方法も，大面積調査地の継続調査といった大規模なものがふえてきた．
　島根大学生物資源科学部附属演習林ではこれまで用材生産林をめさし積極的に針葉樹人工林の造成に務めてきたが，現在のところ総面積の半数以上が天然生林として維持されている．1995年，天然生森林資源の有効利用を図るため，全林に小班ごとの小面積調査地を設け，毎木調査をおこなった．本報では当演習林に所属する1試験地，2演習林にある天然生林の植生について種組成を中心に検討する．
