Description | To utilize hot spring waters from Shimane prefecture for agriculture, water sample was collected for chemical analysis from carbonated springs and sulfate springs. Limited numbers of hot springs are available for plant production due to high sodium concentration of carbonated hot springs. On the other hand, Hata is a useful hot spring to use sulfate, because the hot spring water has abundant sulfate ion with less chlorine ion. Uyama carbonated hot spring showed high level of CO2 in the hot spring water.
