本稿では､｢小単元の学習内容の検討｣→ ｢探究の課題の設定｣→ ｢探究の課題の結論の設定｣→ ｢必要な科学の知識を得るための学習課題の検討｣→ ｢学習課題につながる疑問等を持つために出会わせたい自然の現象の検討と決定｣という順で､小単元の導入段階で生徒に提示して出会わせる自然の事象の決定を行った｡このような意図で選択・決定された自然の事象を生徒に出会わせた結果､概ね筆者らの意図通りの学習課題が生徒の言葉によって設定できた｡
