Abstract
Margaret H’Doubler (1889-1982) が1921年に出版した教師用ダンス指導書“A Manual ofDancing”のうち､“Realization and Appreciation of Music through Movement”を講読し､ダンス担当教師の育成においてH’Doublerが示した､ダンスのための音楽と動きの学習における学習内容と指導方法の具体を明らかにした｡また､学習内容と指導方法にみられる実践と理論の往還､主観的な認知と客観的な分析の往還､ヴァリエーションの展開､動きの探求と創作による自発性の育成といったコンセプトは､1920年代にH’Doublerが提示したダンス教育理論に一貫してみられ､彼女のダンス教育理論を特徴づける考え方であることがわかった｡
