This paper deals with the results of preliminary investigations and experiments on virus diseases of Tulips cultivated in Shimane Prefecture. And the following results were obtained.
1 . Three types of virus diseases were recognized in Tulips, i. e., adding, removing and mixed (typical) ones.
2 . By inoculating the sap juice of Tulip is affected with the Tulip mosaic virus showed the mosaic symptoms to Lilium farmosum.
3 . The possibility of the existence of a virus or viruses besides the Tulip mosaic virus was suggested from the inoculation test to Cucumis sativus, Nicotiana, glutinosa and Chenopodium album L. var. centrorubrum.
