Abstract
1. This investigation was carried out to decide on the Karyotypes of six garden varieties of Hyacinthus orientalis L. : Pink pearl, Cyclop, King of the Blues, Anne Marie, Bismarck and Lady Derby.
2. Pink pearl was diploid and its Karyotype was expressed in the formula, 2n = 16 = 8V+8j. 3. All the other five investigated were triploid, and had the karyotypes, 2n=24=12V+12j, though slight variations were observed among them. |
