A brackish Lake Shinji is located in East Shimane, and because it is a eutrophic lake, the productivity is high, and Corbicula japonica fishing has been performed flourishingly. In Lake Shinji, a lot of studies have been carried out for the arts and sciences from the viewpoint of reclamation or prevention of eutrophication. However, a few developments and the practice of the environment learning teaching materials using Lake Shinji have been accomplished. Then, we assigned a focus to a Corbicula japonica which was dominant species of benthos in Lake Shinji and developed the environmental studies materials based on such as the growth environments, morphology, feeding, egestion and digestion of Corbicula japonica.
