Description | We have collected 86 varieties of cultivated tulips in Japan and classified them by the propagative power.
(1) According to the increase of bulb in number, we have decided them into 8 types as follows: A-a-I (Fig. 1) A-a-II (Fig. 2) A-b-I (Fig. 3) A-b-II (Fig. 4) A-b-III (Fig. 5) B-a-I (Fig. 6) B-b-I (Fig. 7) B-b-III (Fig. 8) (2) According to the development of main bud in size, 5 types have been decided as follows:- I (Size over 14cm), II (Size 13-14cm), III (Size 12-13cm), IIII (Size 10-12cm), V (Size under 10cm). |
