Description
The author reported Canine Dirofilariasis Control (CDC) Programs in dBASE III Ver. 2.0 (dBASE) which can control periodical administration of drugs, and forward a direct mail (DM) such an drugs and/or letter to the breeder. Although expected to be available in a pet clinic, these CDC programs proved to be still room for improvement because the voice has been heard that typing data manually is a durden, especially during a busy clinical work. Thus, the author decided to utilize a her code reader, spotron BC-810 which can read a bar code on the breeder card. But, any program showing the method which can transfer a data obtained by a BC-810 to a dBASE program in a computer could not have been found at that time. The author, thus, made two assemble programs by himself which can transfer a data obtained by a BC-810 into a dBASE progam in a PC-9800 series computer, and made additionally one simple language program in the dBASE program (CDC) to let these assemble programs function in the dBASE program. By using these three programs together with a BC-810 and a card printed bar code, automatic detection of the intended clinical record in the CDC programs was done successully. Adaptation of these programs into the CDC programs will increase availability of CDC programs in a pet hospital.
