This study was conducted to examine the potential effect of parents' leadership behavior toward infants at home on their imfants' behavioral performance in kindergarten. The PM pattern leadership of parents was measured by their selfperception ; and the behavioral performance of infants was rated by the classroom teacher.
The following results were obtained. Infants' behavioral performance was negatively correlated with fathers' P function and positively with mothers' P function, but the performance showed very weak positive correlation with fathers' M function and very weak negative correlation with mothers' M function.
It was suggested that infants' behavioral performance would be facilitated in the case of father with small P function and mother with large P function, but would be suppressed in the case of father with large P function and mother with small P function.
