本稿は、益田競馬のある馬主からの聞き書きの記録である。本稿は、益田競馬の変遷過程を明らかにすることを目的としている。地方競馬は、花競馬、農耕馬としての利用といった段階を経て、現在のような競馬事業へと変遷していった。

This paper is a record of an oral history from a racehorse owner of Masuda Horse Racing. This paper intends to clarify the transition process of a local horse racing. The present state of local horse racing has been formed after the period of ceremonial horse racing and agricultural use.
