Moodleを活用した関節エコー教育プログラムの開発

The Clinical Skill-up Center at Shimane University Hospital and the Department of Collagen Disease traditionally teach Joint Echography face-to-face to 5th-year medical students. Due to the spread of COVID-19, we replaced face-to-face Joint Echography with a learning management course using Moodle. The content of the course was reasonable, as 70％ of the students completed it in thirty to forty-five minutes. This is equivalent to the amount of time required to complete a general learning management course. Fifty percent of the students provided feedback that the course materials were easily understandable. Students expected the clinical training e-learning to include “freely available and easily understandable materials, and content that can be put into practice from the student's standpoint.” Providing visual teaching materials for Joint Echography training was satisfactory for the visualization of inflammation and bone lesions. Discussions using Moodle's forum function were a useful tool for teaching the importance of targeted echography and the relationship between physical examination and testing. Further, collaborative learning using Moodle's forum function was useful for enhancing the learning experience.

島根大学医学部附属病院クリニカルスキルアップセンターと膠原病内科は、医学科５年次の臨床実習で、関節エコーの指導を行っている。COVID-19 感染拡大により、対面で提供していた関節エコー実習をLearning Management SystemによるMoodle 教育へ移行した。コース受講者の７割が30 ～45 分で履修していた。これは一般的なLearning Management Systemの履修時間に等しく、本コースは妥当なボリュームであったと考える。本コースの特徴について５割の学生が、分かりやすい資料を取得できるコースと回答した。学生が臨床実習のe-learningに求める要素は、「分かりやすい資料が取得でき、学生の立場で実践できる内容」であった。炎症や骨病変の可視化が魅力であるエコー学習において、Moodleを活用した視覚教材の提供は有用であると考える。Moodleのフォーラム機能をもちいたディスカッションは、目的を持ったエコー検査の重要性や、身体診察と検査の関連性を教育する有用な手段となった。
