Recently many personal computers have been introduced not only into the companies but into the research laboratories. personal computer is a very useful tool to assist our intelectual activities. Computer programs and databases deposited on magnetic media are called computer software. As they are creative products, the intellectual property for them is protected by law. The values of the computer software and the results obtained by executing computer software have been discussed here. It is concluded that both cultural and natural scientists should pay more attention to the importance of computer software and the rights of those who create computer software.
