Abstract
Ruditapes philippinarum（8 individuals）were reared in red tide water(20 liter) extreamely dominated by Prorocentrum minimum. P. minimum in the tank decreased from 2.0 ×10^8cells to 4.0×10^7cells 24 hours after and to 3.0×10^6cells 48 hours after. R. philippinarum removed more than 98% of P. minimum within 48 hours. R. philippinarum is possibly useful to remove the red tide occurring in the Nakaumi.
