In this note, we tried the orientation and the goal of rural landscape planning, which have adapted to Japanese or Asian agricultural and forestry production. The relations between natural land conditions and their socio-economic condition are very closed to the landscape formation. The standards and typical landscape formation should be harmonized its sustainable rural development.
We can see many examples newly trials of landscape formations in rural area. But many of them are confused and reformed the needs of city residents as a consumer of landscape rather than the regional production relations as origin of landscape. We have analized the reasons are three different directions, of which are the changes of rural socio-economic structure, the need of city residents and the goal of agriculture policy.
