To estimate the side slip angle of wheel tractor on the slope, the friction ellipse was applied. Considering the short to long axes of ellipse in length a ratio of actual to maximum side forces at some traction force, that is ratio of side force, was introduced in the equation of transformed side force. And by only to examine the adhesion and the largest side force of driving tire on the level land, the running characteristics of wheel tractor on the slope was able to be made prediction.
