Sorption of heavy metals from the solutions on forest products waste were studied. Twenty-five mm I.D. glass pipe was used for columns. Twenty-five grams of wood flour or bark powder were placed into the column and 100 ml of solutions containing 100 ppm of heavy metal were run through the column. Heavy metals contained in the effluent liquid from the column were determined using atomic absorption spectrophotom eter, and the rate of sorption of heavy metals on the forest products waste were calculated. The running of the solution through the column were repeated 10 times preparing fresh heavy metal solution in every time. The sorption capacity of forest products waste was dependent on the particle size and that on fine-particle forest products waste was stronger than that on coarse-particle waste.
