The Engi-shiki was codified under the orders of the Emperor Daigo in A.D.927 and caeeied out in A.D.967. The Code is very valuable for linguistics research, too.
There are many classifier in the Code. So we can find out the usage of them in the 10th century. The paper reports on the usage of classifier in the Code. |
