渡部寛一郎文書は、渡部寛一郎日記、剪淞吟社に結集する人々の漢詩と関連文書、若槻礼次郎ほかの渡部寛一郎宛書簡、私立中学校修道館など渡部寛一郎が関わった教育関係文書などで構成されている。中国文学・歴史学などの学際的研究によってこれらの諸文書を解読・分析し、近代日本の漢詩文学と政治文化の関連を山陰地域に即して実証的に追究することが本プロジェクトのめざすところである。今回は、渡部寛一郎日記第四冊（大正五年）の手帳の渡部寛一郎が朝鮮を旅行した部分の日記記事を翻刻紹介する。植民地化後数年たった、当時の朝鮮の様子が分かる。寛一郎は、日本人官僚と会談し、日本人、朝鮮人の教育機関を視察する。島根県出身の各界人士と旧交をあたため、名勝旧跡をめぐり、詩会に参加している。
内容記述
Watanabe Kanichirou （1854-1938） was an infl uential educator in Shimane prefecture and the head of the society in support of Wakatsuki Reijirou（Kokudoukai）. Here we transcribe his diary written on 1916. It recorded his inspection tour to Korea and Kisugi (shimane prefecture).This time we reprint the part of his Korea tour.Through this diary we can perceive how he felt about education, culture, society in Korea which was a Japanese colony. He also made relationship with important persons of educational society and statesmen and beaurocrats in Korea.
