EEG data recorded simultaneously with fMRI data suffer from two specific artifacts and one of them is called Ballistocardiogram(BCG).Average subtraction has been used for removing it. However, average subtraction has been used for removing it. However, average subtraction requires an assumption that BCG waveforms are precisely periodiodic, which seems unrealistic decause BCG is a biomedical artifact. In this study, we apply independent component analysis(ICA) for removing BDG. ICA is a statistioal artifact. In this study, we data into statistically independent components. With the post-processing always improved the results of removal. With the proposed method, it is not necessary to assume that the BCG waveforms are periodic.
