There are a lot of numeral classifiers in Japanese. In the bebinning, I emphasize, most of them were introduced into Japan with the form of official documents from ancient China or Korea. The wooden tablets from the Nara Capital Site are official and private documents. In the present description, I trace the sources of Japanese numeral classifiers.
