本研究は，現在幼児教育が持ついくつかの問題−例えば，幼稚園と保育所の関係，幼稚園と小学校の関係，幼稚園の義務化あるいは就学年令引下げ等−と現在の幼稚園・保育所の施設や運営方法等の現状に関して，幼稚園教師・保育所保母・父兄（来年度小学校へ入学する幼児を持つ母親）小学校教師がどのように考えているかを調べる目的で行なったものである。
