Descriptions
Depressive inclinations in the peri-puberty were examined by means of applying the questionnaire CDS (Lang & Tisher, 1978) toward the almost normal children from the fifth to the twelfth grade. Subjects who got higher scores on the depresslon scale, and at the same time, lower scores on the pleasure scale were classified into the depressive group.
They appeared mostly on the high school level. Moreover, their mean scores on subscales of depression peaked at the scale of Self-Esteem. As a result, it was assumed that the depressive inclinations found in the peri-puberty might be cosely associated with the growth of the sefe-conscious.
