Descriptions	This paper describes the results of observation on the distribution of endangered aquatic macrophytes in Lakes Shinji and Nakaumi southwestern Honshu, Japan. Distribution of six submerged (Potamogeton pectinatus L., P. panormitanus Biv., Ruppia maritima L., Zannichellia palustris L., Chara corallina Willdenow var. kyushuensis Imahori and Zostera japonica Ashers et Graebn.) and one emergent macrophyte (Carex rugulosa Kukenth) are shown and their characteristic features are also shown.
