Descriptions
Gram-size analysis was carried out for the 26 bottom surface sediments from Lake Abashiri using the hydrometer method combined with settling tube. The lake basin is mostly covered by very fine-grained sediments (silty clay and clay), with sand covers only in the marginal shelf and delta areas of the lake. These sediments may reflect the hydraulic condition of Lake Abashiri.
