| 内容記述（抄録等） | Variable names in program source codes provide for important hints in reading programs. Reasonable names make maintenance works promote. Naming conventions are required to be established. This paper presents a quantitative analysis of program variable names in commercial use programs. Through the analysis the construction and abbreviation of words that are included in a variable name are focused.
