The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of group learning in sewing, following the previous study concerned with the sewing machine. "Sewing a fastener on a skirt" was chosen as the subject of the present study. The second-year female students of a junior high school were divided into two different groups for the purpose of a comparative study ; one was a group-learning group, the other an individual-leaming group.
The results were generally similar to those of the previous study concerning the sewing machine ; and which suggested several points for improving group learning.
