The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the movement education program for the Mentally Retarded Children. Moreover, the indicator of movement guidance to them is considered through the guidance practice, which took in movement education.
The subject of this study was A (male, CA=8 years-old two-month) and B (female, CA=9 years-old seven-month) that enrolls in the special classes of elementary school attached to Shimane University. They received about forty minutes two sessions per week for three months.
The results suggest that movement education program in consideration of child’s interest and concern is to aid not only a movement-feeling field but also language ability, and social skills.
