Suceeding to the previout report, this paper dealt with the experimental studiesconcerning the measuring of the thermal conductivity of soil by the non-steadystate method.
For measurement of the thermal diffusivity, the soil samples in a cylinderwere cyclically heated and cooled from the outside of the cylindricl container.
And consepuently the thermal diffusivities were obtained from the phase anglesor the amplitudes in the cyclic temperature variations.
From the experimental studies, it was cleared that the value of real thermalconductivity was slightly increased with increasing of the volumetric water content.
And the measuring method by non-steady state was convenient to handle thanthat of steady state.
