This study was designed (1) to investigate mothers' view of athletic clubs for children and (2) to examine the meaning of athletic clubs for child development. Questionnaires were distributed among clubs participants' mothers, 455 of which were complete and available for the analysis. These mothers have much interest in education. And children's participation in athletic clubs has been much influenced by their mothers. Because of mothers' laying emphasis on intellectual training. however, children's rounded development seems to be arrested.
