A case of human infection with the Ixodid tick was reported. A patient, a 5-year-old girl, complained a wart-like tumor on her left temporal region with slight pain and was enrolled to Department of Surgery of Chiyoda Chuo Hospital, Hiroshima Prefecture. The wart-like tumor was resected and was send to our Department to differentiate the species. It was identified as an adult female of Haemaphysalis flara. Recent trend of tick bite was discussed from the clinical and the ecological point of view.
