The paper formes a part of the synthetic study of Japanese numeral classifiers.
The present report investigates the usage of the numeral classifiers on a Dairy:Tokitsugu-kyo-ki. The diary was written by Tokitsugu Yamashina (1507-1579 A.D.). He had kept the record of fed, clothed and housed day after day for about 50 years. Accordindly we will be able to describe the vocabulary of food, clothes and household implements etc.and the usage of numeral classifiers of them in these days.
The diary takes its place between medieval and modarn Japanese. It will furnish many excellent example of the numeral classifiers in the 16th century.
