Molybdenum (10mg per 100g B.W. per day) was adminidtered to four rabbits, 106-days-old, for 147 days in order to examine its toxicity. The results obtained were as follows :
(1) The increased ratio of body weight of the treated rabbits was about a half of that of the untreated ones.
(2) In the treated rabbits, there appeared a slight fading of hair color and a partial alopecia after 12-15 weeks ; then stiffness of hind legs and scouring were observed in the final stage.
(3) It seemed that the tissues of thyroid, lung, kidney and gall-bladder were swollen and testis tissue was shrunk in the treared rabbits.
(4) The histological observations on liver, kidney, spleen and testis were similar to those in the previous report. Further a partial congestion of tissues and a deteriolatin of cells were noticed in thyroid, adrenal, ovary, stomach and small intestine in the treated rabbits.
