The citizen’s concern toward the forest has strengthened and citizen are working for forest in various styles like forest-volunteer. When they begin to work of forest conservation, forest educations has important meaning to prevent the misunderstanding for forest, to have common information and to spread forest technology. In this paper, surveying the actual situation of forest education, we aim to discuss the necessity of unified curriculum and scientific precision in forest education.
We surveyed forest NPOs in Chugoku district by questionnaire which was prepared based on preliminary survey on forest NPOs in Shimane.
As the result of questionnaire survey, we could point out the followings.
1)The unified curriculum on forest education is not regarded more important than uniqueness and easiness of understanding in the actual scene of forest education. But some organization have an uneasiness to occur the misunderstandings and confusion in forest education, unless the unified curriculum.
2)About the scientific precision, many organizations have regarded not so necessary, but most of them are giving the scientific precision in the lectures. It should be necessary the scientific precision and uniqueness to the forest education to promote right understanding for many people.
It is needed the guidelines about the unified curriculum and scientific precision to be taught in forest education. Establishing the minimum definition, the forest education will be developed on the balance of the unified curriculum, scientific precision and uniqueness.
