The effect of organic materials on nutritive value in kidney bean was researched. The content of vitamm C was positively correlated with the cumulative length of sunshine for three days before harvest. Organic materials maintained the content of vitamin C high even in bad weather, whereas chemicals decreased it. Crashed crab shell increased calcium content compared with other calcium suppliers such as burned chicken excrement and magnesian lime. Calcium content was negatively correlated with the cumulative length of sunshine for three days before harvest on the contrary to the case of vitamin C. The difference, however, was not clear among treatments in the effect on the content of calcium.
