We experimented about the use of vacuum evaporation film as a reflective surface in the photoelastic coating technique and discussed on the effect of the elastic modulus of the modified epoxy resin which was treated with a vacuum evaporated film of Aluminium.
The results are summerized as follows :
(1) Elastic modulus of modified epoxy resin has not the effect to the repetition of the vacuum evaporated treatments under the conditions as follows, reflectional temperature from heat source is 40-60℃ and the period of treatmentis about 8 sec. per once. (Fig 1)
(2) We found that the suitable condition for repetition of the vacuum evaporated treatment is more than 3 times as shown in Fig. 2.
