Formation and Development Factors of a mall Scale Cultivation in Mountainous area : a case study of apple cultivation in Takano town

In this paper I showed formation and deyelopment factors of a small scale cultivation in mountainous area as a case study of apple cultlvation in Takano town, Hiroshima prefecture.
First formation factors of a small scale cultivation of apples in Takano town were as follows.
The first factors were that there were traditional cultivation tecniques of an apple in this town. For the apple productin Takano town was started by a big landowner in 1907, it was continued by farmers and teacher of agricultural school before the second world war and by full-time farmers of apple product after the second world war. The second factors were the suitable choice of apple varieties for market demand.
The varieries of apple were demanded a kind of a rich harvest till 1960.
Next development factors of the cultivation were as follows.
The first factors were introduction of new cultivativation techniques. They were the techniqes of reduction of labor, the prevention techniqes against natural disaster for a stable harvest and the training of a new techniqes for a successor and farmer. The second factors were the suitable choice of apples varieties for market demand and the development of new apples sales system.
