Description | 'Jomon transgression'is eustatic changes in sea level durig Jomon period. We had excavated'Shimane University site'and found an evidence of Jomon transgression. This site !ocated around the area of the sea during Jomon transgression stage and had a dugout,paddle and shaft of fish spear,which were the oldest one in Japan. As a result of excavation,sea level went up during initial~middle Jomon period in east Shimane region. During Jomon transgression,human were active in inland sea and exchanged culture on the sea of Japan.
